At this appointment, the implant fixture will be surgically placed into the bone. We offer nitrous oxide to help comfort and relax our patients. Bone grafting and/or sinus lifting may be necessary at this stage. Bone integration of a dental implant typically takes 4-6 months. .

  • 3. Uncovery

After the 4-6 month healing period, the implant will need to be uncovered by removing a small amount of gum tissue. A healing cap will be placed on the implant, which helps contour the gum tissue for the final crown.

  • 4. Impression

The healing cap will be removed and an impression coping will be inserted onto the implant. We will use our intraoral scanner to take an impression to send to the lab for the fabrication of your implant crown. The healing cap will be placed back onto the implant.

  • 5. Implant Crown Delivery

At the final appointment, we will seat the implant crown onto the implant and check the color, size, shape, + cleansablity of the crown before the final torque. You finally have your wonderful new smile!

  • 6. Implant Maintenance

We want your implant to last a lifetime. Therefore, it is vital to keep your new implant clean. At your hygiene appointments, our hygienists will take X-rays of the implant, use special instruments to clean it, and ensure the bone and gums around it are healthy.
